It’s time for an exclusive look at the athletes who punched their tickets to the 2026 National Finals Rodeo (NFR). With the top 15 competitors in each discipline preparing to compete for a world championship, there’s no shortage of storylines heading into 10 days of rodeo in Las Vegas, with the ladies of breakaway roping preparing to compete at the Will Rogers Coliseum in Fort Worth, Texas, on December 22 and 23.

“Final 15: NFR Standings Reveal," presented by Optiwize, will air Tuesday, October 20, at 8P ET on Cowboy+ and will officially announce the athletes who qualified in Las Vegas and Fort Worth, while giving fans an inside look at the competitors preparing to take on rodeo’s biggest stage. The special broadcast will feature in-depth interviews, expert analysis and conversations with the athletes themselves. From record-breaking seasons and rookie standouts and world title races, the 2026 season has set the stage for an exciting NFR.

Hosted by Katy Lucas and Ty McClary, the broadcast will take a closer look at the athletes, numbers and storylines that have shaped the season. After following the competitors throughout the year Lucas and McClary will be joined by expert analysts, including Luke Branquinho and Colby Yates, to break down the major storylines and what fans can expect into the finals.

With major payouts on the line every night and a world championship within reach, 10 days in Las Vegas can change everything. For competitors, the NFR is an opportunity to add another gold buckle to their resume. For others, it’s a chance to make history for the first time.

In the steer wrestling, Tyler Waguespack has an opportunity to tie Homer Pettigrew for the most world titles in the event’s history. Currently tied with Luke Branquinho at five world championships, Waguespack has another chance to add to his legacy inside the Thomas & Mack.

The saddle bronc riding will feature a family storyline of its own as four Wright brothers prepare to compete out of the yellow bucking chutes for the second time in NFR history. Rusty Wright leads the world standings, with Stetson Wright sitting second, Ryder Wright third and the youngest brother, Statler Wright, in 13th after securing his NFR qualification with a win at The Governor's Cup.

Meanwhile, Noah Lee has quickly become one of the most talked-about names in professional rodeo. With major wins at iconic events, including the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo, the Calgary Stampede and The Governor's Cup, Lee has put together a standout season while setting a new regular-season record. Now, he heads to Las Begas chasing his first gold buckle and the Resistol Rookie of the Year title.

In barrel racing, Lisa Lockhart continues to add to an already remarkable career. With more NFR qualifications than any other barrel racer in history, Lockhart is set to make her 20th consecutive appearance at the finals, another milestone in a career defined by consistency and longevity.

These storylines only scratch the surface of what the 2026 season has delivered. With returning champions, first-time qualifiers and athletes chasing history, every discipline brings a different race to watch as the season reaches its biggest stage, from Las Vegas to Fort Worth.
